The Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club is a model railroad club dedicated to all scales of model railroading. Our group currently maintains operating layouts in HO-Gauge, N-Gauge, and 3-Rail O-Gauge, plus an HO-Gauge traveling layout.

About the Club
Founded in 1985, the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club is dedicated to promoting the hobby of model railroading in Longview, Kelso, Rainier, and surrounding communities in Cowlitz and Columbia Counties. Open to enthusiasts of all scales, we currently feature operating layouts in HO-Gauge, N-Gauge, and 3-Rail O-Gauge. We also have a portable HO-Gauge layout which makes appearances throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are located in the Three Rivers Mall in Kelso, Washington, and we welcome visitors. Come see the trains, blow the train whistle, and get free train magazines and free coloring books for the kids. Donations are always appreciated and new members are always encouraged.
America 250 Special
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1976, the American Freedom Train toured the continental United States, carrying historical and cultural artifacts from America's history across the country for the public to see. In that spirit, the HO Scale America 250 Special will be touring America's model railroads in 2026 to commemorate the 250th anniversary. This train of 3D-printed cars was built by Austin Brodzinski of Youngstown, Ohio, and sponsored by Kadee Quality Products. The Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club is proud to be the first host of the HO Scale America 250 Special on its tour, on January 10-18, including at the Great Train Show in Ridgefield, Washington on January 10-11 and in Puyallup, Washington on January 17-18. 2026 Spring Model Train & Toy Swap Meet
